The Knitters of the North (KOTN) Guild is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities for members and the interested public and to encouraging, coordinating, and increasing opportunities for charitable knitting donations. Established in 1992, KOTN welcomes knitters and other fiber artists who are passionate about fostering a creative, fun, and active knitting community in Anchorage.
We’re making a sweater! Our members let us know that they want an opportunity to knit together as part of a knit along (KAL)*.
*Or crochet or sew or whatever hobby craft you’d like. No pressure, just fun!

Per our 2025 KOTN voting members, the cost of 2026 Guild membership been reduced to $30 for the month of September to reflect the 4-month membership length.
If you are interested in purchasing a 2027 Guild membership (Jan-Dec 2027) online, please wait to purchase a membership until the 2027 memberships are posted for purchase.
This membership is for the 2026 KOTN Guild year.
With a KOTN membership you can:
Create, learn and have fun with fellow knitters and crafters in the Anchorage community.
Vote on Guild business and set the direction for the Anchorage knitting guild.
Be first in line (and receive a Guild discount) for classes and workshops.
Participate in community events and activities that spread the joy of knitting in Anchorage.
